Holy Grail Torch Coral (Euphyllia glabrescens) is one of the most sought-after and visually striking varieties of torch coral in the reef aquarium hobby.

Scientific Name: Euphyllia glabrescens
Common Name: Holy Grail Torch Coral
Type: Large Polyp Stony (LPS) Coral
Origin: Indo-Pacific (commonly from Australia or Indonesia)

🌈 Appearance:

  • Tentacles: Long, flowing tentacles that wave gracefully in the current.
  • Coloration: Extremely vibrant with neon or electric hues:
    • Tentacle Tips: Bright gold or yellow (sometimes with green undertones)
    • Stems/Base: Deep green, metallic blue, or sometimes dark purple
    • Overall Look: The contrast between the glowing gold tips and darker base gives it a “Holy Grail” glow that makes it stand out under both daylight and actinic (blue) lighting.

💡 Lighting & Flow:

  • Lighting: Moderate to high (brings out its fluorescent colors)
